Google released Android Nougat

Google has silently released the new version of Google Android. Announced last year with code name Google Android N, and recently announced its name will be Android Nougat. Google has also announced that LG V20 will be first device to come with pre-loaded Android Nougat.

Here is the list of current device those will be getting Android Nougat 7.0 update in coming week.

  1. Nexus 6
  2. Nexus 5X
  3. Nexus 6P
  4. Nexus 9
  5. Nexus Player
  6. Pixel C
  7. General Mobile 4G (Android One)
  8. Other all devices registered for Android Beta testing program will also get OTA update of Android Nougat 7.0 in coming week.

Android Nougat will have major security changes and other performance and features more tuned that on Android Marshmallow 6.0. Some key new features as listed in official blog post announcing the release of Android Nougat are as below.

  1. Battery Performance Tuned and improvement  on smart battery life management.
  2. Immersive graphic content. Gaming experience will be going to be awesome.
  3. Multiple Windows on same screen. This is similar feature as it was available on Windows 8 metro layout. You can work on two apps simultaneously and even can resize them.
  4. Quick Reply from almost every application. No need to open app to reply.
  5. Quick Switch, its function similar like Alt+Tab in Windows. You can switch back to your last application by double tapping overview button twice.
  6.  Expanded Emoji. Nearly 1500 including 72 new emoji.Android Nougat
