Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd, better known as Jio is launching new app called JioMeet. As name suggests, JioMeet is video conferencing application which will be taking on Zoom, Google Meet & it’s alternative.

As there is nothing much available information except website for JioMeet. Google search returns Play Store listing for JioMeet (version 2.24.34), which is last updated on 27 March 2020 & has 1 Lakh plus active installation as per details. But that page shows Page not found error. Play Store Link. Reports suggest app has been pulled off from both iOS & Android stores soon after launch.
According to media reports, Jio Meet has initially listed features on their website which were pulled off and now only “Thank you for your interest in JioMeet.” is available underneath the logo.

Jio Meet is said to have below features.
- Upto 100 participants
- Native app for Android, iOS & will be available on Windows & Mac.
- Will be available on Firefox & Chrome via Extension support.
Alternatives of JioMeet
Due to ongoing situation, most of the works are being done from home or remote location and usage of video conferencing application like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype, Cisco Webex and others is surged.
Maybe Jio is trying to make most of the opportunity as few days ago, they have launched JioMart WhatsApp order booking system. With Facebook pumping the much-needed investment in current time, Jio has dreams to fulfil.
