[UPDATE] : Hooq Shows Removed from Hotstar, also movies available on HOOQ are removed from Hotstar. As of now, HOOQ content is available on Airtel Xstream app but we are not sure till when?

Last week, we have shared an update regarding the HOOQ content leaving Hotstar. Earlier, Hotstar removed HOOQ shows & movies from index and search results but those are accessible from your Watch History or Bookmarks or direct links.

Today, Hotstar has starting to throw 404 error for HOOQ shows.

Hi, @pranay_kshitiz! Sorry to hear you're no longer seeing HOOQ on Hotstar. :( HOOQ has recently filed for liquidation, so our contents are being pulled out from our partner apps, including Hotstar.

And there is good news also, HBO Max app will launch in India on May 27. All the HOOQ content & more will be available on HBO Max.

It is yet to be confirmed, whether HBO Max will operate as separate platform or allow integration for existing platform like Hotstar. But as per our point of view, it seems HBO Max will be competing with Hotstar as it is owned by Disney now and few month ago, Hotstar censored a show part of HBO network which have comment about Disney character.
