Year 2021 is about to end and we have seen Microsoft breaking their promise to make Windows 10 last version of Windows by releasing Windows 11.
Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22523 released for Insiders in Dev Channel
Today, Microsoft has released new build for Windows 11 in Insider Preview Dev Channel and also confirmed that it will be the last build for year 2021. As holiday season has started and most of the staff will be on holiday, new build will be pushed on year 2022 only.
Windows 11 was available first time in a leaked build around six months ago with new logo, redesigned Start Menu and some other visual improvement over Windows 10 Insider builds. After official announcement and release, a requirement about TPM 2.0 chip, put most of the PCs and Laptops build around 4-5 years ago away from Windows 11.
What is new in Build 22523
- ISOs are available for download. Visit ISO Download page.
- This build is available for ARM64 PCs.
- Snap views for Alt + Tab
- When File Explorer is open to This PC, the add media server and (if appropriate) remove media server option is now available when you click the “…” in the command bar.
- More Control panel items are ported in Windows Settings.
- Uninstall Updates (for cumulative updates, etc.) from Control Panel to a new page in Settings under Settings > Windows Update > Update History.
- Links to Programs & Features in Control Panel will now open to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps.
What is Fixed in Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22523.1000
- Taskbar: Fixed issues with icon displaying wrong values and overlapping on Taskbar.
- File Explorer: Keyboard focus on renaming file in OneDrive.
