Honor has launched the Honor 9X Pro smartphone in India. This is first phone from the Brand to Launch without Google Play Store or Google Mobile Services (GMS) and instead having their own replacement of GMS, known as Huawei Mobile Services.
This means you will not have access to official Gmail, YouTube, Google Drive, Photos and other Google Apps and settings & data sync across Android devices will not be possible on Android phones other than Huawei.
Instead of GMS, Honor is offering its own HMS
Honor is offering its own Huawei Mobile service (HMS) based App Store called App Gallery. You have to rely on applications available on App Gallery and Google has not uploaded their applications on App Gallery yet. This means, you have to rely on unofficial port of Google applications in your Huawei phone. The device comes pre-installed with the Huawei App Gallery.
Through the Huawei App Gallery, the Honor 9X Pro has access to several new features.
The Honor 9X Pro is also equipped with the Huawei Assistant – a virtual assistant that facilitates information search and apps accessibility, adding more convenience for the user.
